Custom foam / Project cooperation

OEM / ODM foamcomponent projects.

Choose drawing-led production or application-led development. Our support covers formulation, mold development, samples, quality control and production delivery; the outputs and responsibilities are agreed for the actual project.

Choose your starting point

Drawing-led or development-led.What changes in the scope?

OEM starts from a defined component; ODM adds decisions about the material or product concept. Sample preparation belongs to both, but design ownership and a standard document package are not stated here.

OEM / Drawing-led

Work from yourcontrolled drawing.

Start with the geometry, material requirements and inspection points your team has defined.

Controlled drawing, critical interfaces, material requirements and expected volume.
Supplier scope to establish
Material/formulation selection, applicable mold-development work and sample preparation against your drawing. Identify any geometry change rather than treat it as an approved revision.
Decision before production
Does the proposed sample reproduce the controlled component and agreed checks? Confirm unresolved grade or process questions and the commercial order scope separately.

ODM / Development-led

Develop from yourapplication brief.

Start with an application or reference sample when material, construction or component details are still open. ODM can also include product-range planning around target market, positioning, price range and delivery needs.

Application, interfaces, reference sample and unresolved design or material questions.
Supplier scope to establish
Which material/formulation, mold-development and sample work addresses the open concept? Agree the intended outputs and approvers; no standard CAD, report or design-file package is promised here.
Decision before production
Which proposed concept and sample configuration is accepted, and which design or validation work is still open? Confirm who controls the resulting drawing and subsequent changes.

Build the project brief
  1. 01

    Feasibility boundary

Identify the candidate material/form and applicable operations. Separate internal work from external support and unanswered grade questions.

  2. 02

    Development scope

For an agreed project, formulation, mold development and sample preparation can be distinct tasks. Confirm which are included, their outputs and costs before authorizing them.

  3. 03

    Sample decision

Use the physical sample for the stated fit, dimension or construction question. Identify its configuration and any performance evidence still needed.

  4. 04

    Order scope

Carry the accepted component and inspection requirements into the order discussion. Quote basis, tooling terms, quantity, sample charges and timing need project-specific agreement.

Sample + production handoff

Responsibilities, revisionsand commercial terms.

The physical sample, production drawing and commercial agreement answer different questions. Sample approval should identify the accepted configuration, not silently settle tooling ownership, confidentiality, testing or delivery terms. Confirm these for the project.

  • Who supplies and controls the component drawing and changes
  • Which material, construction and sample features are accepted
  • Who performs the operations and applicable inspection work
  • Tooling ownership, confidentiality, sample charges, MOQ and delivery terms

Cooperation questions

Before youstart the project.

Can development begin before the drawing is final?

Start with the application, reference geometry and open questions. Agree the development scope and identify provisional dimensions and decisions that still need confirmation before approving a production drawing.

How are responsibilities divided in OEM / ODM?

In drawing-led work, identify the customer-controlled component reference and any proposed supplier changes. In development-led work, first agree the material/concept tasks and intended outputs. Both routes need named drawing and sample approvers. Tooling/design ownership, confidentiality and change handling are project terms, not settled by this page.

Are tooling cost, MOQ and lead time fixed here?

Confirm these for the selected material, geometry, manufacturing route, expected volume and project scope. Review the sample objective before agreeing the production scope and commercial terms.
