01 / Product overview
What is Silicone Foam?
Silicone foam is a silicone-based cellular material. The supplied series is discussed for piping and electronic-equipment insulation and sealing.
A silicone foam part used around a heated pipe and one fitted inside electronic equipment have different interfaces. Separate a temperature-exposure requirement from thermal insulation, electrical or enclosure-performance claims before selecting the evidence for a grade.

02 / Benefits
Key selection considerations
Temperature at the foam
Describe the conditions at the proposed contact surface, including sustained use and distinct peak events. A machine or pipe set point does not fully describe the exposure of a nearby foam component.
Medium and contact interface
Locate the contact faces and identify fluids, cleaning or other media. Temperature and chemical exposure belong in the same project description rather than separate generic material claims.
Function of the component
A sealing task, a thermal-separation task and an electrical-insulation requirement need different evidence. Define the requested function so a geometric fit review is not mistaken for all three.
03 / Technical specifications
Properties & specifications
Compare the source range with your application requirements.

Source: company-supplied preliminary series information. These values have not been verified against approved grade-specific data sheets, test methods or tolerances. They are not guaranteed supply specifications or purchase acceptance limits.
| Property | Range / Options |
|---|---|
| Density | 150–350 kg/m³ |
| Hardness | 10–40 Shore C |
| Formats | sheet, strip, gasket, custom die-cut profile |
| Medium Compatibility | temperature and media requirements require confirmation |
Ranges vary by grade. Confirm specifications and test methods for your application.

Formats & construction options
These are constructions to discuss, not a stocked range. The offered grade, conversion scope and dimensions are agreed for each enquiry.

Sheets
State the flat-stock dimensions and thickness, then identify whether the supplied sheet or a converted component is being requested.

Strips
Show the path around the equipment or pipe interface, including joins and areas exposed to heat. The path and counterpart define more than a total strip length.

Gaskets
Provide the finished sealing outline, local gaps and contact faces. Distinguish the assembled sealing requirement from the temperature evidence for the material.

Equipment interface pads
Describe the equipment surfaces and clearances surrounding the part. Any backing, conversion route or combined-layer construction requires project-specific confirmation.
05 / Applications
Applications of Silicone Foam
Match the part geometry and sample question to its intended task.

- 01
Heated pipe interfaces
Locate the foam relative to the pipe and surrounding parts. Record contact and exposure conditions rather than assigning the pipe temperature directly as a material service rating.
- 02
Electronic equipment
Define the installed location and whether the part seals, separates surfaces or supports another component. The application alone does not establish electrical, fire or enclosure compliance.
- 03
Industrial thermal and sealing parts
Keep the geometry of the installed part separate from the thermal requirement. A material-temperature record and a complete insulation or sealing assessment answer different questions.
06 / Quality & project review
Sample checks for Silicone Foam
Agree the drawing, applicable material data and sample requirements for your project.

Contact and clearance
Check the outline, holes and local sections against the equipment interface, including clearance from adjacent components.
Grade and exposure evidence
Match the offered silicone foam grade to the relevant temperature and medium conditions. A family name or density range is not an approved service rating.
Function-specific assessment
Record whether the sample is accepted for fit or also for an agreed thermal or sealing requirement. Electrical and compliance questions remain separate where applicable.
Construction identity
Retain the proposed backing, layers and contact-surface definition so a repeat sample reproduces the same interface.
08 / Silicone Foam FAQs
Silicone Foam FAQs
Questions to settle before sampling or production.
What is the minimum order for silicone foam sheets or gaskets?
Send the sheet dimensions and count, strip width and total length, or a gasket drawing and piece quantity. Our team will confirm the minimum order for the chosen grade and thickness.
How do I specify silicone foam for a heated seal?
Provide the continuous and peak temperatures, exposure duration, sealing pressure and any fluids in contact. Confirm the selected grade and test conditions before relying on it for the application.
Which details are needed to select a silicone foam grade?
Specify thickness, density, hardness, cell structure and the required compression behavior. Share a drawing or reference sample so fit and material selection can be reviewed together.
Can a silicone foam grade be specified for regulated contact?
State the exact contact use and required standard before ordering. Any food-contact, medical or other compliance claim needs grade-specific documentation and confirmation; it does not apply automatically to every silicone foam.
09 / Request a quote
Request a quote for Silicone Foam
Show where the silicone foam sits and which function it must perform. Give the exposure at that location, not only the nominal temperature of the equipment.
- Installed outline, contact faces and local clearances
- Sustained/peak exposure and actual contact medium
- Sealing, thermal or other separately defined requirement
- Quantity, attachment needs and sample assessment scope
